Revelation chapter 2, 3

Chapters 2 and 3 are directly addressed to the church. After chapter 3 the church is never mentioned again. So, what Yeshuah Jesus says in these two chapters is very important to us, the church.

Yeshuah Jesus says 7 times to the churches:

1. "I know your works"

2."He who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."

It is Unveiled, Yeshuah Jesus knows:

Chapter 2

Verse 2 "I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil."

Verse 9 "I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan."

Verse 13 "I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan's throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells."

Verse 19 "I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first."

Chapter 3

Verse 1 "I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead."

Verse 8 "I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name."

Verse 15, 16 "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.

"So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth."

Yeshuah knows our works, our labor, and our patience.

He knows our tribulations, our poverty (even though we are rich with a heavenly home) and He knows those who say they are of God, but are of Satan.

Yeshuah Jesus knows where we dwell, that is where Satan has his throne, here on this wicked world, but Jesus knows we hold on to His Name.

He knows our love, our service and our faith.

Also, He knows those who say they are alive, but are spiritually dead. You can't fool God!

Yeshuah has set before us an open door that no one can shut. He knows we have a little strength, have kept His word and have not denied His Name.

And He knows those who are neither cold nor hot, He wishes they were cold or hot, but because they are lukewarm, they make Him sick. So, He vomits them out of His mouth. This is the only time in scripture where God gets sick to His stomach. Either serve Him all the way, or leave Him alone.

It is Unveiled, Yeshuah is a Gift Giver:

Rev 2:7 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God."'

Rev 2:11 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death."'

Rev 2:17 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it."'

Rev 2:26-28 "And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations;

'He shall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter's vessels'; as I also have received from My Father;

"and I will give him the morning star.

Rev 3:5 "He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

Rev 3:12 "He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. And I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.

Rev 3:20-22 "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

"To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."' "

We have the gift to live forever with God.

We have the gift not to be hurt by the second death.

Rev 20:14-15 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

We are given the gift of the Hidden Manna, the bread of life, the bread from heaven. The living bread is Jesus Christ, unseen in the earth and so, called hidden.

A white stone: Among the Greeks a white stone was a symbol of acquittal, as a black stone was of guilt. The white stone implies justification, innocence and victory.

And a new name: Our old earthly name represents sin, for we were born into sin with a sin nature. Now we have an eternal life with God in Heaven. A new name will reflect a new relationship with Elohim.

We are given the gift of kingship and rulers. Also we are given the Morning Star, Who is Yeshuah.

Rev 22:16 "I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star."

We will have a relationship with Jesus unimaginable.

We are given the gift of a white robe symbolizing we are redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. We will not be blotted out of the Book of Life and Yeshuah will confess our names before the His Father and the angels.

We are given the gift of being made a pillar symbolizing strength and honor. Not in any temple, but the Temple of God, in the New Jerusalem. And, we will always dwell there. When we enter the kingdom above, three names are written upon us; the name of God, the heavenly city, and Christ's heavenly name.

We are given the gift of Yeshuah coming in to us and living there (if we open the door to Him). Lastly we are given the gift to reign with Christ forever.

Back to chapter 2 verse 4

Rev 2:4 "Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

Let's look at it in Hebrew.

                                                           אך יש־לי עליך כי נטשת את־אהבתך הראשונה׃ Rev 2:4

Notice the Aleph and Tav את. If we insert the meaning of the Aleph and Tav we can see what Yeshuah Jesus is saying very clearly.

Rev 2:4 "Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left את(Aleph and Tav, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last, the Alpha and Omega) your first love.

Ephesus left their First Love Yeshuah Jesus. Jesus is everyone’s first true love.
