The Unveiling of Jesus Christ

The Book of Revelation

The Book of Revelation is filled with signs, symbols and codes.

Rev 1:1The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants; things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John,

He put it in to signs. Every sign, every symbol and every code is explained in scripture.

Signified by God = that is in “code” (1:1) “to give a sign or signal.” There

are, in the Bible, 4591 semaino (say-mah’-ee-no) from the word sema (a mark,

of uncertain derivation); [Sememe = a basic unit of meaning].

It has two meanings:

1) To give a sign, to signify, indicate.

2) To make known.

The central subject, theme, and message of the entire Bible, the Old Testament and the New, is the Person, work and glory of Yeshuah Jesus. The book of Revelation is definitely no exception.

The book of Revelation is not just a book describing future events; it is a book that reveals Who Yeshuah Jesus is. This study is focused on the book of Revelation and how it reveals Yeshuah Jesus though out its 404 verses.

Rev 1:1The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants; things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John,

Rev 1:2 who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. (NKJV)

Revelation means, unveiling, uncover, and reveal.

In Greek it is apokalupsis or Apocalypse.

Rev 1:1 The Unveiling of Jesus Christ, which God gives to Him, to show to His slaves what, must occur swiftly; and He signifies it, dispatching through His messenger to His slave John, (CLV)

This study will be focused on the Unveiling of Yeshuah Jesus, revealing His names, titles, character, His work, power and glory in the book of Revelation.

Many people say, “The book of Revelations.” It’s not Revelations plural, it is Revelation, singular. There are not many different revelations, this is one revelation with many signs and symbols to tell the revelation. Also, many call it, “The Revelation of John.” No, the first five words of the book tell it all, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ”. It is all about Yeshuah Jesus.

First, let’s go back to Genesis. Let’s do some comparisons.

Genesis and the book of John

The beginning;

Gen 1:1In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (NKJV)

John 1:1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (NKJV)

The creation;

Gen 1:1In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (NKJV)

John 1:3All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. (NKJV)

The light;

Gen 1:3 Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light.

Gen 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. (NKJV)

John 1:4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

John 1:5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. (NKJV)

God dwells with man;

Gen 3:8And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. (NKJV)

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (NKJV)
